XC Inclinometer Casing

The XC Inclinometer Casing is a high-quality, durable casing designed for inclinometer installations monitoring ground movement, wall stability and structural shifts. It can be used:

  • In boreholes and fill material
  • Cast in concrete
  • Attached to structures

The casing is constructed with four integral keyways positioned at 90 degrees, ensuring accurate alignment of portable and in-place inclinometers. Each casing section is joined with external couplers glued together at each end.

To accommodate movement during settlement, the casing has telescopic sections. Mastic and tape seals prevent water and grout ingress.

Interestingly, the XC Casing can be cut and re-joined onsite, providing you with extra flexibility and the ability to easily repair any damage.

Monitel also has access to the XC Casing’s full range of accessories including caps, anchors and magnetic targets.

It is fully compatible with most standard inclinometer probes, making it a reliable and versatile solution for structural or geotechnical monitoring systems.

Specifications

  • 70mm diameter
  • < 0.3°/3m groove spiral
  • Maximum temperature of +80°C

The XC Inclinometer Casing forms a key part of our monitoring solutions. With it, we are able to assist Western Australian industries such as mining, construction and transportation.

Monitel has used the XC Casing in monitoring:

  • Retaining walls – Detecting lateral movement and ensuring long-term structural stability.
  • Deep excavations – Tracking soil displacement during construction and tunnelling.
  • Landslide-prone areas – Providing early warning of ground shifts.
  • Infrastructure projects – Monitoring bridge abutments, foundations, and embankments.

Designed for ease of installation and long-term reliability, the XC Casing ensures precise, real-time data collection in critical monitoring environments.

We will commonly pair the XC Inclinometer Casing with sensors such as:
